Volunteers needed for the Tetra Society.

The Tetra Society of North America, a not-for-profit society that works toward the elimination or diminution of barriers for people with disabilities by facilitating the creation of enabling devices, needs skilled volunteers to design and build enabling tools. Such tools include recreation aids and equipment, communication tools, workplace and mobility aids, and other devices. Numbering among the volunteers are engineers, architects, occupational therapists, machinists, carpenters, handypersons, and mechanics. Those who wish to volunteer their time to create products should visit the Tetra Society’s Web site at www.tetrasociety.org to find a chapter of the organization located in their area. The society was incorporated in 1992 and has since created over 3000 assistive devices through more than 30 chapters in cities across North America.
