Urban Republic Arts Society hosts Sing! in Vancouver
Taking place for two more Saturdays from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on August 20 and 27, 2011 – Vancouver’s Urban Republic Arts Society hosts Sing! – a participatory karaoke event taking place on the 700 block of Granville Street at Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver.
The Karaoke Kiosk will use a renowned and beloved form of entertainment to activate Granville Street in a fun way that crosses borders between ages and cultural backgrounds. Sing! celebrates and shares the pop cultures of Vancouver’s diverse population. Come sing and hear what grooves in French, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, Cantonese, English, Japanese.
Select a song from our multi-lingual songbook at the Karaoke Kiosk and then take the stage and sing solo or with your friends. Sing! celebrates and shares the pop cultures of Vancouver’s diverse population. Come sing and hear grooves in Cantonese, English, Filipino, French, Japanese, Mandarin, Hindi and Spanish. Can’t find the song you want? Send us your suggestion prior to the event or bring your own karaoke DVD to the kiosk. The Karaoke Kiosk is free and open to all.
