Urban Design: Public Realm
As part of the SFU City Program series in Vancouver, this course will explore the significance of public space and its growing role within densifying urban areas. The course will also examine spaces designed for night-time and seasonal use as well as public art. Key principles in the design of public places will be explored through case studies of several notable public places built or underway in various communities. The course runs from May 6-7, 2005, from 9:00am to 5:30pm. The fee is $525.00 (accelerated cohort is $425.00), and is worth 14 CORE Learning Units. To register, visit www.sfu.ca/city/
