University of Calgary Faculty of Environmental Design presents end-of-year shows for graduating classes
The graduating classes of the 2012 Master of Architecture program will be holding their annual end-of-year shows. There will be two shows from the two different groups of graduating students. The first show on Friday, April 20th at Art Central (100, 7th Ave SW) takes place from 7:00pm to 11:00 pm, featuring Master’s degree projects completed by students from the four-year Master of Architecture program. Projects range from innovative models for urban health care to speculative frameworks for countercultural resistance and everything in between.
The second show on May 3rd in the EVDS Kasian Gallery takes place from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, and features the work completed by students from the new three-year Master of Architecture program in their final research studios. Work includes investigations into structurally intelligent swarms, responsive architecture, modular affordable housing, as well as projects from the Barcelona and Melbourne study-abroad programs.
