Toronto Society of Architects announces return of in-person programs
The TSA brings back talks, tours, and open studios for Toronto's Doors Open on May 28-29.

The Toronto Society of Architects (TSA) has announced the return of three in-person programs reflecting on this year’s theme “Renewal”, as part of Doors Open Toronto 2022.
The annual event provides public access for one weekend to dozens of architecturally and culturally significant buildings across the city. Taking place Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29, the free weekend-long celebration will feature more than 100 sites for exploration, a talk series, walking tours and more.
Architects Talk: Renewal
Saturday, May 28, 3:45 PM
The Bentway, 250 Fort York Blvd
Centred around Doors Open’s theme of “ renewal”, this year’s Architects Talk will bring five speakers for some fast-paced pecha-kucha style presentations to share their thoughts, work and provocations on how to close the gap between the city we have and the one we desire. From tower renewal to native plants, cultural districts to reconciliation, each speaker will provide their unique perspective on how we can work towards a better city.
The talk will include presentations by Graeme Stewart, Lorraine Johnson, Tura Cousins Wilson, Selina Young and Zahra Ebrahim, and will be followed by discussion moderated by Stefan Novakovic.

Harbourfront: A Story of Renewal walking tour
Saturday, May 28 and Sunday May 29
Harbourfront Centre (Starting point is plaza on north side of Queen’s Quay Terminal)
When it comes to renewal, few Toronto neighbourhoods can boast as amazing of a story and share so many valuable lessons as Harbourfront. The TSA will be hosting 7 one-hour long tours throughout the weekend sharing the stories behind this remarkable cultural campus through its buildings and landscapes, telling the story of how this once derelict industrial site has become a place for culture, recreation, commerce and living at the water’s edge.
Registration for the tours opens May 12 through the City of Toronto website.
