Thrive 2015: Canadian Institute of Planners Conference in Saskatoon
Thrive 2015 is an opportunity to experience, learn and share what it takes to create thriving cities, towns and regions. Expect a program that engages you actively, intellectually and culturally. Come experience one of Canada’s most dynamic downtowns and the vibrancy being created by a youthful, growing city. Take home wonderful memories of Saskatoon and the people you meet, and apply new ideas and skills shared among planners from across the country to help your community to thrive.
Taking place from June 27 to 30, 2015 at the Convention Centre at TCU Place in Saskatoon, the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute (SPPI) annual conference welcomes attendees to Canada’s youngest major city in Canada.
On offer are extended workshops, learning tours, concurrent sessions, lightning-round presentations, and a walking school bus.
Keynote speakers include Jennifer Keesmaat, MCIP, RPP, Chief Planner for the City of Toronto; Taras Grescoe, urban affairs author and critic; Gabrielle Scrimshaw, civic leader and finance professional.
