The British Columbia Construction Roundtable has organized this half-day seminar on Thursday, June 16 at the Holiday Inn in Vancouver located at 711 West Broadway. The seminar is intended for those in the building industry to learn more about taking advantage of the current building boom. Taking place from 8:00 am to 11:30 am, the seminar will focus on two sectors: buildings, and transportation and civil works. Specific details will be provided on projects in both sectors, including the Sea to Sky Highway and the UBC Winter Sports Arena.
Over the next ten years, there will be high demand within the construction industry for skilled professionals and trades. With many major projects now underway, how will the industry manage the resources necessary to get the jobs done? Find out what the government’s plan is to manage this activity to 2010 and beyond.
