Submissions close October 12 for HBSA Awards
The Hamilton and Burlington Society of Architects (HBSA) is inviting members to submit their built works, studies and proposals completed since October 15, 2016 to the HBSA Achievement in Architecture Awards 2018. The deadline for submission is Friday October 12, 2018 at 4:00 PM. This year’s winners will be announced at the HBSA Celebrates Event Thursday November 15, 2018.
The Hamilton and Burlington Society of Architects presents the 2018 HBSA Achievement in Architecture Awards to celebrate the outstanding work of its members. This award program endeavours to inform the public of the importance and value of excellent architecture practice in the Hamilton and Burlington areas.
The principal aims of the Hamilton and Burlington Society of Architects Architecture Awards are:
- To recognise HBSA architect members and others for their achievements in
relation to the profession of architecture; - develop high public awareness and understanding of the importance of
architecture and the value of design; and - encourage architects to strive for excellence in architecture and thereby promote
the advancement of architecture.

- Heritage or Adaptive Re-Use
- Renovation Residential
- Renovation Mixed Use/Commercial
- Renovation Institutional
- New Residential
- New Mixed Use/Commercial
- New Institutional
- Studies and Proposals
All eligible projects will be showcased and award winning projects announced at the HBSA Celebrates event on November 15, 2018 and in electronic and print media, including theHamilton and Burlington Society of Architects website. A Jury consisting of industry professionals, educators and peers will adjudicate all categories of awards. Jury to be announced at a later date.
