Smarter. Faster. Tougher. An Exhibition on Sports, Fashion + Tech opens tomorrow
Opening with the PanAm Games, the Design Exchange’s 2015 summer/fall exhibition focuses on sportswear, and is the second offsite exhibition that will run in the heart of the PanAm Village in the Distillery District. The exhibition runs from July 8 to October 12, 2015 at 39 Parliament Street in Toronto.
Curated by Marie O’Mahony, a professor of Advanced Fashion + Textiles at OCAD University and visiting professor at University of the Arts, London, this exhilarating exhibition explores the vast evolution of sportswear and the role technology has played in that growth. In the Fashion/Nature/Ethnography section, products on display are: Puma x Chalayan; Puma x Cedella Marley; Stella McCartney x Adidas (Canada); Fred Perry; Blue Glue; Koru; Onitsuka Tiger; Shapeways 3D printed Bikini by Contiuum; Canada Goose; Speedo; Virus; Loudmouth; Griffin Studio; and Maharishi.
