School Work: Innovative Architecture for Education
Presented at IIDEX Canada’s Annual Exposition & Conference on September 26, 2013 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Toronto’s Direct Energy Centre, be sure to attend the seminar entitled “School Work: Innovative Architecture for Education” organized by the Toronto Society of Architects (TSA) and Workshop Architecture (2013 OAA Emerging Practice).
Architects from Toronto-based firms Workshop Architecture, Montgomery Sisam Architects and CS&P Architects will talk about their approach to school design and their latest work in the Greater Toronto Area on elementary and secondary school learning spaces.
Short presentations from panelists David Colussi and Helena Grdadolnik (Workshop Architecture), Robert Davies (Montgomery Sisam Architects) and Joanne Frisch (CS&P Architects) will cover the following topics: new design approaches for current learning models and technologies and engaging students in the design process, followed by a general discussion on connections between architecture and learning.
Workshop Architecture and CS&P Architects will also be featured in an exhibit on architecture and learning at Harbourfront Centre’s Architecture Gallery from September 20 to December 22, 2013.
