Royal Ontario Museum offers architectural walking tours of Toronto

ROMwalk is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a new schedule of free walks and two brand new ROMwalk Plus tours through Toronto neighbourhoods of historical and architectural significance. ROMwalks take place on Sundays at 2:00 pm and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm and last for one to two hours.

The 2005 ROMwalk schedule is as follows:

July 10th at 2:00 pm: Necropolis
July 12th at 6:00 pm: Sacred Stones & Steeples
July 17th at 2:00 pm: Parkdale
July 20th at 6:00 pm: Cabbagetown
July 24th at 2:00 pm: Annex
July 27th at 6:00 pm: Historic Toronto
July 31st at 2:00 pm: Mount Pleasant Cemetery
August 3rd at 6:00 pm: Whiskey, Wharf & Windmill
August 7th at 2:00 pm: Renaissance ROM
August 10th at 6:00 pm: Rosedale
August 14th at 2:00 pm: Heart of Toronto: Builders of the City
August 17th at 6:00 pm: Cabbagetown
August 21st at 2:00 pm: Sacred Stones & Steeples
August 24th at 6:00 pm: Parkdale
August 28th at 2:00 pm: Annex
August 31st at 6:00 pm: Historic Toronto
September 4th at 2:00 pm: Renaissance ROM
September 7th at 6:00 pm: Whiskey, Wharf & Windmill
September 11th at 2:00 pm: Mount Pleasant Cemetery
September 18th at 2:00 p.m: Rosedale
September 25th at 2:00 pm: Heart of Toronto: Builders of the City

Three ROMwalk Plus walking tours will be offered in 2005. These are paid walks that are followed by a tea. ROMwalks Plus cost $20 per person and advance registration is required. For these walks or the schedule for July and August ROMwalks, please call (416) 586-5799 to reserve tickets.
