The Department of Architectural Science at Ryerson University in Toronto is carrying out a project investigating the reuse of steel in construction. The goal of the project is to provide tools that will facilitate greater reuse of reclaimed steel components in construction, leading to significant environmental benefits and cost reductions. The project group is looking for information on any projects completed or ongoing that reuse steel components that have been used previously in other construction work. If you are aware of relevant projects, the project group would like to speak to you about your experiences, including the issues arising, and lessons learned from reusing steel components.
