Quebec City announces winners of 2021 Merit in Architecture awards

18 projects earn recognition in the city's biannual design awards.

Quebec City has announced the winners of this year’s 2021 Merit in Architecture awards. The biennial event recognizes the contribution of architects, designers, building owners, and other professionals who stand out in creating new works of architecture and preserving Quebec Citys architectural heritage.

The competition aims to promote the value of architecture as part of the cultural life of the city and of its citizens.  

The awards were presented at a virtual evening gala in February, and covered categories ranging from single-family homes to large institutional projects.
