Taking place at the Metropolis Factory in Toronto on Saturday, April 27, 2013, the Pulp Art Party is an Architecture for Humanity Toronto promotional fundraiser designed to investigate the current life cycle of paper and explore alternative uses. Designers of all disciplines are invited to design and build installations and furniture out of reclaimed material, provided by our team, and create a paper playground. There might be giant dragons hanging from the ceiling, writable walls and tables, a printed cave in a hill. It’s a blue-bin carnival. Submit your designs or just join in for a night inside a dream made of paper.
Proceeds go to AFHTO future projects. Architecture for Humanity Toronto is a volunteer organization that promotes architectural and design solutions, as well as advocacy and public education to help build a sustainable and socially equitable living and working environment in Toronto.
PULP: Reclaimed Materials Art and Design is a new not for profit corporation collaborating with AFHTO to research and implement designs using reclaimed materials to be donated to public spaces who might need them – schools, libraries, community centres, hospitals, etc.
Tickets are $15 + tax in advance, and $20 at the door; quantities are limited.
