Submissions for the Seventh Annual Best Of Design Awards by The Architect’s Newspaper are approaching its October 4th, 2019 deadline.

With 50 categories to choose from, the project-based awards program showcases great buildings, building elements, interiors, and installations.

Entrants are invited to submit completed works that reflect AN’s editorial coverage, as well as the interests and obsessions of their readers.

In order for a project to be eligible for submission, it must have been completed within one year of the submission deadline (October 2018). Landscape, Public, Unbuilt, and Representation projects must have been completed within two years of the submission deadline (October 2017).

The BoD jury will judge entries based on the strength of the presentation, evidence of innovation, creative use of new technology, sustainability, and good design.

The jury includes: Co-Founder Jaffer Kolb; Selldorf Architects partner Sara Lopergolo; Skidmore, Owings & Merrill associate director Carlos Madrid III; The Architectural League of New York program director Anne Rieselbach; The Architect’s Newspaper executive editor Matt Shaw; and Oana Stănescu Studio founder Oana Stănescu.

The Best Of Design Awards is open to Canadian, Mexican, U.S. and international firms. Projects submitted must be located within Canada, Mexico, or The United States.

Winners and Honorable Mentions will be featured on AN’s website and published in a special Design Annual created for Best Of Design.
