Pecha Kucha Vol. 30 in Toronto
Taking place from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the NXNE Art Lounge located at 363 King Street West in Toronto, Pecha Kucha Vol. 30 is a collaboration with NXNE’s new art stream, inviting trailblazers and city-builders to share their special presentation and insight on a Toronto for Tomorrow. (e.g., imagine the year 2020). Cranes stretch into the sky and across the city’s horizon, signaling that Toronto is open for new business, interested in new people, and hungry for new ideas.
This special Pecha Kucha Night will be hosted in the Samsung-presented NXNE Art Lounge, a space transformed through art installations and artist presentations into an as-yet-to-be imagined future for the city of Toronto.
Presenters include Alexander Josephson, cofounder of Partisan; Thom Sokoloski, public art consultant and artist, SmartCulture Public Art; Jeanhy Shim, real estate analyst and strategist, Housing Lab; Jacquelyn West, Art Festival Director, North by North East Conference; Brad Keast, developer, Osmington; and Denise Pinto, director, Jane’s Walk.
Only 100 seats are available, so tickets are limited. Tickets are $15 at the door or $10 online, and can be purchased at https://www.uniiverse.com/listings/nxne-art-x-pechakucha-night-toronto-vol-30-tickets-toronto-WQR4K/1403303400.
