Tonight! Pan Am Village: The Games and Beyond

Urban Land Institute Toronto presents this session on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.

With the 2015 Pan Am Games less than a year away, construction is nearing completion on the massive new Athlete’s Village in the West Donlands east of downtown Toronto. While the Village will become the temporary home of 10,000 athletes, coaches and team officials during the summer of 2015, it will serve an even bigger purpose as a thriving new urban community when the games conclude. An esteemed panel will take an in-depth look into the planning and development of this project, including what was learned from past experiences in Vancouver, and also delve into the post-game uses of the Village.

Speakers include: Bruce Kuwabara, Partner, KPMB Architects; Kenneth Tanenbaum, Vice Chairman, The Kilmer Group; Meg Davis, Vice President, Development, Waterfront Toronto; and Peter Clewes, Principal, architectsAlliance. The discussion will be moderated by Rob Spanier, Partner and Principal, Live Work Learn Play.

The cost is $10 for students; $30 for ULI members; and $50 for non-ULI members. The last day to register for this event is January 26, 2015.
