The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) is pleased to announce its 2006 President, David Craddock, OAA. Craddock was elected to OAA Council in 2005, and served as Vice President Statutory Activities (2005) and the Chair of the OAA Bill 124 Task Group (2005). Craddock has also served on the OAA Regulatory Affairs Committee, Practice Committee, Complaints Committee and Subcommittee on Building Codes and Regulation. For 18 years he has been the OAA representative to the Part 9, Ontario Building Code Committee of the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
Craddock has more than 30 years experience in the architecture and construction industry. He is principal of David Craddock Architect in Toronto which specializes in renovation and restoration. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Toronto in 1976, having earlier obtained his B.Sc. in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University.
The Ontario Association of Architects is a self-regulating, self-governing profession under the Architects Act. The association governs its members and regulates the practice of architecture in Ontario in order that the public interest may be served and protected. As part of its regulatory mandate, the Association delivers a wide range of programs and services to its members and the public.
