“Occupied Economies: Designing Solutions to Global Problems” is a panel discussion bringing Occupy protestors together with leading thinkers in a multidisciplinary, collaborative effort to critically respond to the protests, and contemplate the potential to redesign the troubled global economic system.
Taking place on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 4:45pm, the featured panellists include: David Miller, former Toronto Mayor, Aird & Berlis LLP, World Bank Advisor on Urban Sustainable Development; Dr. David Kennedy, Harvard Law, past Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Advisory Council on Global Governance; Dr. David Schneiderman, U of T Law, author of Constitutionalizing Economic Globalization: Investment Rules and Democracy’s Promise; Dr. Sara Diamond, President of OCAD; Matt Gurney, Deputy Editor, Comment Section of the National Post; and an anonymous representative of Occupy Toronto, who is currently a Bay Street investment advisor. This summit is the launch of the Design Exchange Chair’s Forum series, hosted by chair and interim president Tim Gilbert.
