OAA Hot Topic Forum about Planning Reform and Design Quality in Ontario

OAA Members are invited to attend: Design Review: An OAA Hot Topic Forum about Planning Reform & Design Quality in Ontario, which takes place tonight at 7:00pm in the MaRS Collaboration Centre Auditorium, south tower, located at 101 College Street in Toronto.

This free forum is being held to stimulate discussion and awareness of the possibilities of Planning Reform, and of the growing trend for design review and design standards.

Join moderator Ian Chodikoff, Editor of Canadian Architect Magazine and the panelists: George Baird, Dean of the School of Architecture, Landscape and Design, University of Toronto;Joe Berridge, partner, Urban Strategies Inc.; Howard Cohen, developer, Context Development Inc.; Bruce Kuwabara, principal, Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg Architects; and a video presentation by Bing Thom, principal, Bing Thom Architects.

Each of the panelists will present their personal perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of planning reform and design review. An open, moderated, discussion will follow.
