Nominations open for the 32nd Annual Mississauga Urban Design Awards
This year’s competition for the best in Mississauga’s urban design is underway. The awards program, now in its 32nd year, is the longest-running municipal urban design competition in Ontario.
“The 32nd annual Mississauga Urban Design Awards are about celebrating the finest in urban design,” said Ed Sajecki, Mississauga’s commissioner of Planning & Building. “They also remind residents of how committed we are to making sure they live in a beautiful, liveable city.”
The awards will be presented on September 27, 2013 to kick off Mississauga’s Culture Days celebrations. The evening event will also put a focus on public art and its part in creating a unique and memorable urban experience.
The deadline for submissions is August 2, 2013 at 1:00pm. Nomination packages for the Mississauga Urban Design Awards are available now, and forms are available at www.mississauga.ca/portal/residents/urbandesignawards.
