MOCCA Exhibition and Panel Discussions

From November 18 December 31, 2005, the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art presents Impulse Archaeology, which examines the period of art and cultural history developed around Impulse magazine in Toronto during the 1970s and ’80s. A series of panel discussions accompanies the exhibition, which take place at 7:00pm in the Drake Hotel Underground located at 1150 Queen Street West. Each event is $15, or $10 for students. A package price for $40 is available either at the MOCCA or the Drake Hotel. The panel discussion schedule follows below:

Thinking Architecture?
November 24
A panel discussion about the current state of theoretical architecture with George Baird, Mary Lou Lobsinger and Mirko Zardini moderated by Andy Payne.

Piracy of Art?
November 30
A discussion about the conspiracy of art between Sylvere Lotringer and Mark Kingwell moderated by Eldon Garnet.

Designing the Better World?
December 6
A panel discussion about the current state of design with Bruce Mau, James Wines and Dot Tuer moderated by Gary Michael Dault.

Echoes from a Cold City
December 8
