MJMA and Quadrangle to host climate emergency workshop this Friday

As a follow-up to the Canadian Architects Declare pledge, Toronto firms MJMA and Quadrangle are hosting a workshop focused on implementation strategies and tactics for accelerating architect-led climate action.

The event will run from 4-6pm, Friday October 25th at MJMA’s office in downtown Toronto. The timing is intended to help capture attendance from architects who are in Toronto for the RAIC Festival. “The workshop aims to to keep up momentum, and to leverage collective intelligence and collaborative efforts,” says organizer Jennifer Cutbill, of Vancouver-based Local Architecture Practice, who helped spearhead the Declaration.

Due to space constraints, tickets will be on a first-come first-served basis. Acknowledging that many who are interested will not be in Toronto, a virtual option is also available (though engagement options will be limited). Drinks and appetizers will be provided.

“The declaration was only the first step. Together we can expand potentials and build collective capacity to empower and embolden our next ones!” says Cutbill.
