Mid-Century Modern architecture exhibition in Calgary
For two short days only, the Kerby Expo & Calgary Heritage Initiative present an exhibition focusing on 55 Mid-Century Modern buildings located in Calgary. The exhibition takes place from Wednesday, September 10th (9:00am-4:00pm) to Thursday, September 11th (9:00am-3:00pm), and is complemented by three lectures.
* September 10, 2014 at 11:00am: Laura Pasacreta will help you to explore and recognize existing mid-century architecture in Calgary through an introduction to 55 buildings.
* September 10, 2014 at 1:00pm: Clint Robertson will discuss the City of Calgary’s effort to protect modern architecture and the issues surrounding its conservation.
* September 11, 2014 at 11:00am: Geoffrey Simmins will facilitate your ability to identify and appreciate the unique features of mid-century architecture.
The exhibition and lectures take place at the Kerby Centre, located at 1133 7th Avenue SW in Calgary. Admission to all events are free.
