Historic Calgary Week 2013

The Chinook Country Historical Society presents the 23rd annual Historic Calgary Week from July 26-August 5, 2013. Celebrate with them as they “walk through history” with over 70 events. Attend talks, walks, concerts, family events, museum and community visits and noon-hour talks at the Central United Church.

All events are open to the public and, with few exceptions, are free of charge but donations are appreciated. Some require pre-registration due to limited space. For walking tours, please dress for the weather, wear good walking shoes and bring water if it is hot outside.

Back by popular demand, this year’s city-wide celebration features hundreds of homes and buildings from the early days of Calgary through to the 1930s and includes non-residential buildings such as churches, schools and businesses. Experience the story of Calgary as told by Calgarians. For a map of participating sites and other activities, please visit www.centuryhomes.org.
