Heritage Canada The National Trust (HCNT) joins members of the Stovel family in congratulating this year’s recipients of educational assistance from the Herb Stovel Scholarship Fund. The Herb Stovel Scholarship Fund is administered by HCNT in cooperation with a professional advisory committee.

Denise Dick of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, and Nancy Oakley of Whitehorse, Yukon, are the recipients of scholarships in the form of bursaries of $2,500 each, which will allow Ms. Dick to complete an internship at UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre in Paris, and Ms. Oakley to participate in the 18th annual ICOMOS General Assembly and Scientific Symposium in Florence, Italy.

Stephanie Elliot of Ottawa, Ontario, and Laura Golebiowski of Calgary, Alberta, will receive scholarship funds to attend Heritage Canada The National Trust’s 2014 conference, “Heritage Builds Resilience, to be held in Charlottetown, PEI from October 2-4, 2014.

The Herb Stovel Scholarship Fund awards funds annually to one or more Canadian students or young professionals pursuing studies or working in heritage conservation or a related field.
