Following 18 months of extensive historic restoration, Toronto’s landmark Gladstone Hotel is holding a gala three-day celebration to launch their unique, urban hotel concept. From December 2nd to 4th, 2005, the public is invited to join in the fun and check out the 37 artist-designed guest rooms, fully renovated event venues, and exhibition and conference spaces. Admission is free.
The event kicks off at 7:00pm on Friday, December 2nd, and allows visitors to view the guest rooms and meet the artists. A gala party follows at 9:00pm that evening in the Ballroom and Melody Bar, with DJs, live performances and celebrity karaoke providing entertainment.
An Open House on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm offers views of the newly restored public spaces, hotel rooms, an exhibition of Gladstone memorabilia and a contemporary art show. Another reception takes place on Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm where visitors will be able to meet the artists responsible for the new guest room designs.
