Fifth annual Canadian Brownfields 2005 held in October
The fifth annual Canadian Brownfields 2005 will be held at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa from October 13-14. This year’s event will focus on the key drivers that are making brownfields redevelopment an increasingly important part of city building and smart growth across Canada. Themes will include political and technological innovation, municipal & private sector partnerships and international experience to revitalize communities and restore urban cores. The event will also include the annual general meeting of the CBN and the CUI Brownie Awards.
The Canadian Brownfields 2005 conference is putting out a call for papers on interesting case studies, technologies, applications or opinions related to brownfield redevelopment and urban renewal. The 2005 CBN conference committee is reaching out to professionals in every region and from all sectors of the brownfields industry to create a practical, powerful and informative program. Submissions should be limited to 250 words with emphasis on how the presentation advances our understanding of brownfield redevelopment practice. Please e-mail submissions to Glenn Miller at [email protected] or Todd Latham at [email protected]
Now in its fifth year, the CUI Brownie Awards are well established as the industry standard for recognizing excellence in brownfields redevelopment. Last year a record number of quality submissions were received for the nine award categories, and this year’s nominations are expected to be equally strong. Nominations are encouraged of any project, person or organization with respect to their achievements in brownfields. Please visit www.canadianbrownfieldsnetwork.ca for more information, or contact Glenn Miller at (416) 365-0816 or [email protected] and Todd Latham at (416) 510-6804 or [email protected]
Please continue to support Canada’s only dedicated brownfields event and CBN’s made-in-Canada solution to realize the potential of brownfield redevelopment across the country.
