Founded in 1989, the firm of Marosi + Troy architectes has developed a growing reputation for design excellence. The firm maintains a special expertise and interest in the domains of institutional, cultural and private residential practice. Major new pavilions and campus spaces completed and in development at the universities of Montral, Sherbrooke, McGill, Concordia, and UQM represent the ongoing evolution of an integrated design approach which explores the architectural relationships and contradictions between modernity, context, and landscape. The office has participated in many invited design competitions and has been the recipient of a number of design awards. Established in 1958, Jodoin Lamarre Pratte et associs architectes has acquired a reputation for excellence in all aspects of construction and design, pursuing the approach to quality established by its founding partners. The firm has been involved in the realization of numerous award-winning projects including the Salle de Spectacle Desjardins and the Thtre du Vieux-Terrebonne, recent Canadian Architect Award recipients. A second-generation firm originally founded in 1972 in Saguenay, Labb relocated to Montreal’s South Shore in 1989 where it has since been directed by Eric Labb. The firm has focused on the challenging work inherent in the health care and education sectors. Subsequently, it has developed a reputation for producing innovative and bold design solutions while respecting normally tight budget and schedule constraints.
