Tall Wood Buildings Book Launch

March 30, 2017
50 Water St., Vancouver, British Columbia

Twenty first century building innovation combined with changing codes world-wide are contributing to a wood revolution and the advancement of the tall wood movement. Wood is a renewable, carbon sequestering product that offers an evolving medium that is both complex and a new frontier for design. In many respects we are taking knowledge that disappeared a century ago and revitalizing the next century of building more sustainably.

Architects Michael Green and Jim Taggart have co-authored the newly released publication that provides an introduction to the technology behind Tall Wood Construction Systems. The book includes 13 case studies that celebrate the beauty and specification / detail of wood buildings around the world.

Come celebrate the launch of this greatly anticipated book with Michael and Jim, and discuss  the recent evolutions in mass timber design, construction, and performance, as well as the future of tall wood.
