Modern Toronto Bus Tour

September 24, 2016
100 Queen St. West Toronto

Led by Dave LeBlanc (Architourist, The Globe and Mail), Chris Bateman (BlogTO), and Gary Miedema (City of Toronto, Planning), this tour explores Modern planning and architecture in Toronto from 1945 to the 1970s. Tour participants will see exemplary Modern buildings from Etobicoke to Scarborough. Along the way, they’ll learn what defines Modern architecture, hear stories about the architects behind it, and learn about the planning and cultural context that defined post-war Toronto.

Bonus: Participants will have the opportunity to get off the bus at certain locations and tour the sites up close (exterior visits only).

Start/End Point: Toronto City Hall (100 Queen St. West)
