Maison de la Culture Côte-des-Neiges, 5290 Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal
Curated by architectural photographer Alain Laforest, this travelling exhibition stops at the Maison de la Culture Côte-des-Neiges in Montreal, and features the work of Montreal artist and architect Melvin Charney (1935-2012), an internationally recognized figure in the architectural world. The exhibition draws from the photo archives of the Maison de l’Architecture du Québec, presenting 70 original prints from the past 50-80 years selected by Laforest, who states that these photographs, despite their formalism, emit sensitivity, and a poetry that speaks of the human condition. The exhibition runs from September 5-October 18, 2015. The Maison de la Culture Côte-des-Neiges is located at 5290 Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges in Montreal.
