Plain Projects is a landscape architecture, environmental design, and public art studio based in Winnipeg. Their work embraces simplicity while focusing on the creation of beautiful spaces that integrate the native landscape with the urban framework. At the heart of their work is the idea that the places we all inhabit should be engaging and inspiring; settings for the stories that form our lives.
Their broad design interests and desire to preserve a sense of humour and playfulness in their work often lead to a divergence from typical landscape architecture practice toward public art projects, small structures, and pop-up installations.
Liz Wreford established Plain Projects in 2011 after working in multi-disciplinary design firms in Australia and the United States. She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba’s Environmental Design and Master of Landscape Architecture programs.
