Presented in conjunction with the launch of the book Canadian Architecture, 1967 to the present, this discussion is moderated by book co-editor Dr. Graham Livesey and is part of the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape’s Design Matters lecture series. Panelists will examine topics such as: transparency and awareness around injustice ; social responsibility; environmental sustainability; surveillance and monitoring (intelligence); the city of diversity; self-organization among citizens and grassroots movements; a city designed for everyone/inclusivity; public space as an important part of the city (for protest, debate, etc.); and economic realities.
