For the second installment of our FUTURE CITIES talks we partner with Artscape and Daniels Spectrum to bring the series to Regent Park – once Canada’s oldest social housing project – currently in the midst of a two-decade-long, multi-phase revitalization that is recasting this urban neighbourhood as a mixed-use, mixed-income community. This time around our speakers will tackle a broad range of topics that touch on themes loosely related to making social impact.
As always, FUTURE CITIES challenges urbanists, culture-makers, advocates and citizens to reimagine what it means to be a “City Builder.” The series draws on experts and innovators who are known for pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo. They are invited to present Big Ideas that address topics, challenges, intersecting critical themes, and questions that Toronto and other cities are facing as they continue to grow and densify.
