As part of Toronto City Hall’s 50th anniversary lecture series, Christopher Armstrong delivers this presentation from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Thursday September 10, 2015 in the Council Chamber of Toronto City Hall, located at 100 Queen Street West. Christopher Armstrong is Emeritus Professor History at York University. Having long taught courses on the urban history of Toronto, he has published a book on municipal politics in the 1890s, and most recently a study of the spread of Modernist architecture called Making Toronto Modern. He will speak on the background and history of the construction of Viljo Revell’s winning design for Toronto City Hall.
