May 16 - May 18, 2016
Vancouver Convention Centre West, Vancouver
The Architectural Institute of British Columbia’s annual conference brings together architects, intern architects, architectural technologists, builders, engineers, interior designers, faculty, students and other members of the design community to learn about new industry and professional trends, technological advances and best practices. This annual gathering, the largest of its kind in British Columbia, is also a chance to network, socialize and celebrate the innovative, valuable work of practitioners and theorists. The conference runs over three days and includes plenary sessions, seminars, workshops, panel discussions and an industry exhibitor show.
This year’s conference focuses on a crucial and topical theme – Building A Resilient Future. The theme brings a number of questions to mind. What does resiliency entail? How do we build cities, communities and populations that are resilient? We anticipate these questions and many more will be examined over the course of the three-day conference as we learn from industry experts, notable presenters and forward thinkers who are devoted to exploring these subjects.
The Annual Conference will bring together more than 35 speakers from across a wide spectrum of sectors, including those from education, government, non-profit, business and private practice. Robust discussions and exchanges will unfold at the conference plenaries, seminars and evening social events. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to discuss ideas, discover new strategies, get reacquainted with colleagues, meet new friends and broaden your knowledge base.
