Eco Wave 2006: call for speakers, presentations and exhibits

Educators, designers, and builders are invited to submit proposals for papers and exhibits for Eco Wave 2006, a global interdisciplinary conference on the new generation of green architecture taking place from January 13-15, 2006 in San Francisco. The deadline for proposals is November 18, 2005; acceptance notifications will be sent by November 30, 2005.

Topics include any aspect of green building, sustainable planning, alternative materials and energy systems, bioremediation, eco villages, eco design methods and education; and indigenous, organic, and nature-based architecture. Topics related to visionary, innovative, “next generation” aspects of eco design are especially welcome.

Each proposal should be a brief abstract, no more than one page. Send as e-mail text, NOT as attachment. Include complete contact information. Detailed resumes are not required at this time. Proposals may be for seminar presentations (30 minutes duration), poster or other exhibit displays, or special format presentations.

Accepted presenters will receive major discount on conference enrollment fees and pay only $98. (Regular enrollment fees will be $250 to $350.)

Attendees and speakers will include world-renowned experts in all aspects of green building and ecological design. Representatives from major universities engaged in ecological design education and research have declared their intention to participate. Editors of eco design related journals and book publishers will be in attendance along with representatives of all national eco design-related organizations. For more information, please visit the San Francisco Institute of Architecture website at www.sfia.net.

Send proposals to the Eco-Wave Conference Committee by e-mail, fax, or letter.
