Duravit USA is proud to announce its first ever North American design competition: the Duravit Designer Dream Bath Competition. Using their own bathroom as inspiration, this program invites architects and designers to draw up an ideal bath space from a range of Duravit’s 2013 launches: the Starck 2, Happy D.2, and DuraStyle collections with a chance to win the products from their design.
One winner will be selected and awarded the Duravit items used in his or her project up to a value of $15,000. Up to three other submissions will receive honourable mentions.
The competition is open to all North American-based architects and designers. Participants may only use the following collections in their designs: Starck 2, Happy D.2, DuraStyle. Duravit is not responsible for installation of prize materials.
A panel of design experts will judge the submissions based on creativity, use of the Duravit product to overcome design challenges, and overall success of the reimagined space. The jury is comprised of: Annie Block of Interior Design, Edda Elias of Elias Associates, Mark Kushner of Architizer, Paul Makovsky of Metropolis, and Sharon McHugh of World Architecture News.
The submission deadline has been extended, and submissions must be received no later than September 27, 2013. Winners will be announced at Duravit’s New York City showroom during Duravit Design Week – October 8-10, 2013.
