Discussing Division 02: The De-Amalgamation Debate

The Institute without Boundaries, in collaboration with Arup, presents the second panel of a three-part presentation entitled “Discussion Division” at the George Brown College of School of Design in Toronto.

On Thursday, April 16, 2015, the De-Amalagamation Debate will examine the current state of Toronto, the Megacity, by challenging models for distributed services, increased regional connectivity, and exploring the tension between consolidated power and local responsiveness. 

Panellists include: Stefan Krzeczunowicz, senior consultant specializing in municipal finance and management, Hemson Consulting; Alan Redway, former Mayor of East York and author of Governing Toronto; David Rider, writer for the Toronto Star, Urban Affairs; Enid Slack, professor and director of Institute on Municipal Finance & Governance, University of Toronto. The panel is moderated by Christopher Pandolfi, Institute without Boundaries.

Doors open at 6:30pm, followed by the panel discussion at 7:00pm in Room 108 of the at the George Brown College of School of Design, located at 230 Richmond Street East in Toronto. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
