Dezeen + Lemay host October 20 panel discussion on Canadian design
Leslie Jen, David T. Fortin, and Andrew King will explore how ideas of engagement, Indigeneity, and materiality inform out national design identity.
Dezeen has teamed up with Lemay to host a live panel discussion on Canadian design on October 20th from 11-12 p.m.
The talk will be moderated by Dezeen’s founder and editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs and will include FLDWRK Principal Andrew King, author of “Canadian Architecture: Evolving a Cultural Identity” Leslie Jen and Associate Professor from the McEwen School of Architecture, David T. Fortin.
The panelists will explore how ideas of engagement, indigeneity, and materiality begin to enter the design conversation and inform how people perceive our national design identity. The talk will also discuss the role of indigenous design practices in shaping Canada’s identity.
