Deadline for AIBC Awards this Friday!
Each year, the Architectural Institute of British Columbia showcases the best in BC architecture through its awards program. While honours are given out in a number of distinct award categories, there is one common element: excellence.
Program goals are to honour excellence in completed architectural projects; to celebrate recent achievements of AIBC member architects and firms; to recognize the role of AIBC members and associates in British Columbia’s built environment; to encourage public interest in BC architects and architecture; and to promote AIBC members as architectural leaders provincially, nationally and internationally.
Award recipients are selected by a jury in the following categories: the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia Awards in Architecture; the AIBC Innovation Award; the AIBC Special Jury Award; and the AIBC Emerging Firm Award. If the jury deems that no project is deserving of an award, no award will be given in that category.
To submit a project for consideration, please visit www.aibc.ca/awards/ for full submission information. This year’s winners will be celebrated as part of the AIBC Annual Conference from October 23-26, 2013. Titled “Sea Change: Architecture on the Crest,” this year’s conference is being held for the first time in partnership with the American Institute of Architects – Northwest & Pacific Region. The annual Presidents‘ Dinner & Awards Gala takes place Friday, October 25, 2013.
The submission deadline is May 31, 2013 at 4:30pm PST.
