Submissions to the Prairie Wood Design Awards are being sought in the following categories:
*Commercial/Institutional
*Engineering Advocate
*Interior Wood Design Showcase
*Municipal/Recreational
*Residential
Entries should consist of building projects that show a wide range of wood product applications and demonstrate an understanding of the special qualities of wood, such as strength, durability, beauty and cost-effectiveness. A jury of prominent architects and engineers will review all entries based on various considerations such as creativity, appropriate use of wood materials in satisfying clients’ building and site requirements and innovative design.
Submissions are due January 23, 2015. Winning projects will be featured in the next edition of the North American Wood Design Awards book published by Dovetail. The gala and award presentation will take place on March 17, 2015 at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton.
