D’Ambrosio architecture + urbanism awarded 2006 LEED C-I Gold certification by the US Green Building Council
D’Ambrosio architecture + urbanism has been awarded LEED C-I (Commercial Interiors) Gold certification by the US Green Building Council for its studio/office in Victoria. The project demonstrates the vast potential for improving occupant health, comfort and productivity, as well as improving the bottom line that exists in tenant improvements and interior renovation projects.
The LEED C-I Gold certification was based on the following:
*motion and light-level sensor-operated low-voltage compact fluorescent lighting
*dual-flush water closets
*high content of recycled materials used in construction, fixtures and furniture
*only CFC-free adhesives and finishes used
*wheat-board (particle board substitute)
*high-efficiency heat pump with cooling captured from underground parking
*Roxul mineral wood insulation
*recycled wood for tables, desks and wall framing
*recycled gypsum wall board
*certified wood interior finishes
