This companion event to his current exhibition everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything at the Vancouver Art Gallery, artist Douglas Coupland hosts this fun event on Tueday, July 15, 2014 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.
Come take on these fun design challenges with cocktails & Helvetica: three rounds, with 35 participants per round, and three design challenges per round.
Bring your Mac laptop and make huge posters on the spot on a kick-ass high-speed Ricoh jumbo photocopier. Photocopy prints are part of a crowd-sourcing design experiment exploring the relationship between typography and slogans. Every participant will get to keep his/her work.
Participants must load their Macs in advance with Helvetica fonts, as none will be provided on the night of the event. For print purposes, all participants must be able to make a PDFs from their work.
A bar and lounge will be provided for those awaiting their rounds. A limited number of tickets are available for friends and dates of participants. When purchasing tickets, please indicate who will be a participant and who will be a spectator.
