Chasing Net Zero: a panel discussion

The Sustainable Buildings Consortium and Green Energy Futures has announced a dynamic panel event celebrating the Chasing Net Zero web series, taking place in Edmonton on Thursday, October 9, 2014.

Join the cast of the Chasing Net Zero series and hear them tell their stories in person, as well as share tips on how to design and build a cutting-edge (and beautiful!) sustainable home.

Edmonton may seem like an unlikely centre of sustainable design excellence. But the climate is extreme and the creative local architects and designers have developed leading-edge net-zero buildings, which produce as much energy as they consume over the course of a year. The Chasing Net Zero series celebrates these trailblazing projects through online videos, radio broadcasts and blogs that are published online in the Huffington Post.

Moderated by Green Energy Futures host David Dodge, the panel will feature: Mike Turner, Engineer, Manasc Isaac (episode 1); Kim Gould, Junior Project Manager, Pivotal Projects (episode 2); Shafraaz Kaba, Architect, Manasc Isaac (episode 3); and Dave Turnbull, Landmark Homes (episode 4).

The event begins at 7:00pm at the MacEwan City Centre Campus (CN Theatre, Room 5-142) in Edmonton.
