Canadian designers recognized in Interior Design magazine’s Best of Year Awards

The 5th annual Best of Year Awards is a pre-eminent design competition recognizing superior interior design projects and products in 70+ categories. Best of Year Project Design honourees were selected by Interior Design editor in chief Cindy Allen and a jury of design luminaries.

Winners were announced earlier this month during a magnificent celebration at the Frank Gehry-designed IAC Building in New York City, whose interiors by were designed by Studio Architecture.

Canadian architects and interior designers came away with three top awards. The winner in the Budget category is Johnson Chou for Red Bull Canada Headquarters in Toronto, while Levitt Goodman Architects won in the Institutional category for Native Child and Family Services of Toronto. Yabu Pushelberg claimed top prize in the Showroom category for their Avenue Road project, and were also mentioned as a Project Honouree for The Room at the Hudson Bay Company. NORR were also recognized as a Project Honouree for the Allstream Centre at Exhibition Place in Toronto.
