Canadian Construction Innovation Forum to be held in Calgary

The National Steering Committee for Innovation in Construction (NSCIC) will be presenting a proposal for the implementation of a national innovation strategy at the Second Canadian Construction Innovation Forum to be held in May in Calgary.
The committee, chaired by Dev Fraser, Vice President and General Manager of Corporate Services, PCL Constructors Inc., is composed of industry leaders from the public and private sectors. NSCIC was formed after an earlier forum in 2001, and its mandate is to develop a strategic plan to help address the challenges facing the industry, including issues like productivity, competitiveness and profitability.
Leaders from all segments of the construction sector will be attending the forum. As well, attendees will hear how other countries approach the challenge of innovation and examples of industry best practices. Several keynote speakers from industry and government will address the gathering. For more information visit the NSCIC website at www.nscic.ca
