“Body Movies,” an interactive artwork by Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, has earned its creator a First Prize at the International Awards issued at the prestigious Bauhaus School in Dessau, Germany. The work consists of 1200 square metres of interactive projections that transform public space and has been exhibited in The Netherlands, Portugal, Austria and Great Britain. An international jury reviewed 167 projects from 31 countries on the theme of the “Telecity.” Lozano-Hemmer will be invited to spend a 14-week residence at the Dessau Master Houses, the UNESCO-protected living studios designed by Wlater Gropius, founder fo the Bauhaus movement.
