The Canada Council for the Arts has released its invitation and selection criteria.
The Canada Council for the Arts has issued a call for exhibition proposals for the country’s official representation at the 18th Venice Biennale of Architecture. The exhibition will take place at the Canada Pavilion in the Giardini from May to November 2023.

Proposals should embody bold ideas that inspire, challenge, and respond to current realities through the lens of contemporary Canadian architecture. Selection committee members are Brigitte Shim, Neeraj Bhatia, Annie Lebel, and Alison Brooks.
The deadline to submit an expression of interest is Monday, November 29, 2021, 11:59 pm (Pacific Time). Shortlisted candidates from the call for expression of interest will be invited to fully develop their proposal and participate in an interview with the selection committee. The Canada Council will contribute $500,000 towards the exhibition production. The selected team and proposal will be announced in March 2022.
